With DC statehood back in the news, I found myself looking around Spotify for songs about Washington DC - as you do - and found myself thinking about other songs that have the names of states in the title, and after coming up with about ten off the top of my head, I thought:

I don’t have a lot to say about Lil Nas X and his Satan Shoes stunt, apart from the following:

1. Conservatives are taking it way too seriously.

2. That appears to have been the entire point of this whole exercise.

3. I’m not a fan of his music, but I did get a two-hour playlist out of it.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I used to be in radio. And every Valentine’s Day I would do a special program called “Beautiful Valentines For Ugly People”.

It wasn’t a very popular show - not least because my musical selections typically reflected my true feelings for Valentine’s Day as a holiday. But I had a fun time programming it.

It's moving day.

It's just one tower over. Still, moving is a young man's game. Cos I be knackered.

Anyway, this will keep my energy up for an hour at least.

They say that the worse the year, the better the music - in which case 2020 should have produced the best albums since (say) Iraq War 2.
